Hi
Can you please advise why I am able to send and receive email on my smart phone on g mail via free WiFi but not able to send on my Hotmail account or Clara

as it is frustrating

I don't have your phone in front of me so I can't tell you. If you give us more information (error messages, how your accounts are set up, phone operating system, etc., etc.) we might be able to offer more help.

Which app(s) do you use for Hotmail and Clara?

For hotmail the "send" settings should be something like this:-
smtp-mail.outlook.com 587 TLS

For Clara :-
relay.clara.net and one of these (try them in order)
25, SSL Off
2525, SSL Off
587, SSL Off
465, SSL On

I have Samsung j5 2016 and the only error msg i get is sending of email failed when i try and send via Hotmail or Clara accounts but on g mail i have no issues as it goes and get a response from my contact to whom i have sent the email to

Are you using the built in email app (If it has one) the gmail app (with those accounts added to it) the outlook app (What hotmail is now)??

It could be that you have not put the settings in correctly if using the samsung email app.

Are you saying these accounts work fine on your Home wifi, but not on a 'free' wifi hotspot?

yes only have issues with hotmail and clara accounts

not on gmail

Are you the OP on a different account? If you are then you've not answered the question, if you aren't then your contribution is meaningless.
