I have quite a few late payment strikes against my name with virgin media from over 3 years ago, it was due to me paying over the phone as I had to cancel direct because of redundancy.
I am no longer with virgin and I owe them nothing but I didn't realise about all these late payment strikes until last night.
For the past 3 years on all my borrowing my payments are made on time and It shows as all green ticks.
I spoke with my mortgage advisor about it and he thinks it won't be much of an issue as it was a long time ago.
We have passed the affordability check with no problems and have had the 1st credit check in principle passed with no issues.
Have any of you guys managed to get a mortgage with late payment strikes?
Cheers
Matt

It's not ideal to have these but if they are over 3 years old it should not be to much of an issue. It would be a lot worse if they were recent. Hopefully your mortgage advisor has taken this into account and matched you appropriately to a lender. It shouldn't be an problem.0

My friend was renting out his house and forgot about paying Virgin. When he came back from his travels he wanted another mortgage and even though he had brought the account up to date his application for another mortgage was declined because of the Virgin Media account being late.0 -
