Callcredit electoral roll

Options
I'm going to be applying for a mortgage in the next few weeks. I signed up to checkmyfile a month ago and noticed that i was not showing on the electoral roll with callcredit but i am with experian and equifax. I got in touch with them and 3 weeks later they have managed to find me and will be updated on the 3rd March. Problem is i am guessing the same has happened to my husband, were renting a rural property and the address is varying with different companies.

So my question is when i apply to halifax and they see he is not showing on callcredit will they see he is showing on the other 2? I don't have time to wait till they can find him and update it in April! Were getting our property in May.

Thanks in advance :D

I dont think Halifax check callcredit for a mortgage application so you should be fine.

According to this http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/credit-cards/credit-reference Halifax only use Experian for a mortgage application.
  • Thanks for the reply.

I did see that list that halifax use experian but i was reading through a mortgage post and read that some had searches done on equifax and callcredit. Would this be an instant fail or would you get the chance to prove you are on it? I have our entry numbers from the council :)

Do you have a mortgage advisor? Have you got an AIP?

I don't see this being an issue for you.
  • No AIP yet planning on doing it next week after callcredit updates! They had my DOB wrong too so was saying i was 67 that corrects on the 3rd too so they said. My last 3 mortgages with halifax i just called them direct is it worth getting an advisor?

Probably not worth getting an advisor if you have already had 3 mortgages with them. I can't see the electoral role causing an issue if you are both correct on Experian.
