I've tried signing up with Equifax now but no luck, keeps freezing when I add a username!
Have you had experience with getting mortgages for people with late payments, kingstreet? I've disclosed everything to my mortgage broker it's just this late payment!

Also, NatWest took out a valuation fee from my bank account the day I did the formal application for the mortgage, does this mean anything or is it standard practice even when they haven't made a decision?

    It's standard.

NatWest may not see the late payment or it may simply be ignored by the system if there is no significant adverse data worse than that.

As a lesson make sure you set up direct debits on all credit cards for the minimum payment. I nearly made the same mistake this month - but my direct debit saved me.

Thanks for the replies! I usually do set up direct debits and out of sheer stupidity forgot to with this card. I wish the only thing they would look at is if you have regularly paid rent (which I have for the past 5+ years and NEVER been in arrears!) my rent is £500pm, if the mortgage goes through I would only be paying £390! Which is more than affordable. I will just have to sit patiently and wait. Thanks again for your replies, will update when I hear from my MA.

Just an update, got a call from the Mortgage adviser this afternoon to say everything has gone through ok, they did a valuation on the house yesterday so we should hear back in about 48 hours with their report! So hopefully all goes well with that! Is it pretty much plain sailing from here on?
