Quick question - Homeowner status

Hi all,
This is a question for all sorts of products and forms that keeps coming up for me. I have a tenant in my home in the short term. I used to live there, it wasn't buy to let, and I still consider it a home I plan to move back into. In the meantime, I'm renting with my partner in another town. Am I a homeowner or a renter when it comes to filling in financial forms and insurance policies etc?!
Many thanks,
Sarah

Dunno, but if you have a mortgage on your 'home' and you haven't told your mortgage company about the new arrangements you potentially are in the doodoo0

Thanks Martin, not the question I asked!
Don't need to explain but I will...it's all above board, landlord insurance, consent to let, investment income going into my bank ready to pay the taxman....you get the picture!0 -
Hi
Technically you do own a home, it’s just not your home at the moment. In terms of completing forms I’m not sure what the correct answer is though. It may depend on the reasons the company is asking the question, so I think you would need to check with whoever you’re applying to.

Unusual to be asked "homeowner status". The more usual question is "residential status" (at the address you've entered on the form). In your case it would be 'other'...unless you're paying your partner rent!0
