External Meter Boxes

Electric meter box got damaged in a recent storm after it was left open by the meter reader. I've replaced it once already.

Are there any good robust products available with a good closure/lock (unlike the cheap/weak plastic components that are in most boxes) as a replacement?

Other question is most of the boxes are very big and my electric meter is a very small LCD device. Are there any smaller/more compact boxes available?

It's a surface mount box, not a recessed mount box.

Electricity suppliers normally specify what sort of meter box they want. There's deliberately plenty of room in the box, so that if you report a suspected meter fault, they can add a second "check" meter.
