Can we reclaim for a Hospital Plan/Disabling Injuries Insurance

Hi
I have just found out that my mother has been paying for a Hospital Plan/Insurance that is mean't to payout for "Disabling Injuries" It is with Hospital Plan Insurance Services , Norfolk House, Wellesley Rd, Croydon. She cannot remember why or when she started this, to me it looks totally irrelevant to her. I think she was sold this on the phone one day. She apparently has been paying a monthly premium of £4.40 for years. How do we establish if she was mis sold this and can we reclaim her premiums. She is now 76 and it appears that any payout is reduced by a third after the age of 75.

You can complain about anything being mis sold, but you would need to provide your complaint reasons in doing so.

There isn't a list of people who were mis sold things.

Most of these are not sold but bought. Typically by returning flyers in with the newspapers/mail or an advert in a paper.

She complains to the person (or firm the person belonged to) that sold it to her stating the reasons why she believes it was mis-sold.

Mis-sale relates to point of sale. Not years later. She may not want or need it now but that does not make it missold.

Why do people seem to think any and every kind of insurance should be refunded?
