Car Hire Under 25 in Canada with Conviction?

Wasn't expecting this to even be available, but thought I'd check anyway and it is

Cheapest I've found was about £24 a day including everything except the excess insurance (which can be bought elsewhere for less - any recommendations)?
Then my partner reminded my she's got "Hit and Run" on her record, because she allegedly hit another car while in a supermarket carpark (let's not even go there!).
Any idea whether that'll be an issue in Canada?
Here's the details for the rental:
15-NOV-07 (anytime) > 22-NOV-07 (anytime)
Moncton, NB (Downtown or Airport; Downtown preferred) > Halifax, NB
Or maybe there's just a good site you could recommend?
(Don't worry, if no-one replies about the conviction I can of course phone a Canadian Car Rental place and ask them, since I'll be asking about it once I've found a deal anyway).
