Fresh air and orange peels dried in the airing cupboard.

I love the smell of silage! It's so nostalgic for me.
I like the idea of a citrus oil on pot pourri. I may see if I can get some.
I don't like the smell of dried orange peel though. I think it's after finding mouldy oranges which one of the kids hadn't eaten from their packed lunch and had hidden. Smelt rank so I can't abide that smell.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These

Fresh air and I spray my radiators with diluted zoflora- elderly pooch can be a bit pongy so I use a belt and braces approach and hope for the best0

I didn't think of the radiators. I noticed that mine are looking a bit dusty so was going to take the tops off tomorrow to clean inside. Think I may dilute some of my new pine star drops and clean them with a bit of that.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These

Fresh air over here too. Also, washing dried outside when it's frosty has the best smell ever.No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0

Lenor tumble drier sheets are good. Just dampen one very slightly and pop it on top of the radiator. When the heating comes on it will dry out and leave a nice scent in the room. Reusable for ages.
MSE version - make your own with a small piece of fine cloth, eg muslin, dampen it with a solution of something you like, such as Stardrops, for the same effect.“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”0 -
Air fresheners contain some very suspect chemicals. I wouldn't use them. I also mostly avoid orange oil cleaners and products - the limonene in them, although naturally occurring, converts in to formaldehyde in the air. I use orange oil cleaner here and there for stain removal and things, since it works so well, but it's not as clean and green as it looks.
Mostly, I clean the house with soda crystals and baking powder, both of which shouldn't as far as I can tell be adding anything to the air. I open the windows and freshen the house every day, even in winter, but otherwise, houses have some odours from cooking and everyday living, it's ok.
House plants are good at cleaning the air, I have a few in each room for decoration, and to the keep the air fresh. Some house plants have scented flowers too. Currently got a pot of hyacinth bulbs in the hallway that smell nice.0
