So it looks like April is going to be a disaster of a month, my partner was meant to be getting a pay rise which we were massively relying on and it hasn't gone in. I got a promotion 3 months ago and was expecting that to be back paid this month and that hasn't gone in either. We have extra bills this month and higher Nursery fees so I've done my budget and we are £250 short before the month begins. So we most certainly won't be able to go home to visit family this month.
So next month I need to do a lot better on the money making.
This month I have £33.54 to add from writing sites and £7.35 from Prolific so my balance is now £182.06 which isn't too bad for my first month back.
Fingers crossed I can beat it next month, and add a few more ££s before the end of the month xTotal Debt [STRIKE]£25,460 [/STRIKE](23/02/2016) £13,416.94.(paid 48%)

I know some people on here have a lot of success selling books to such as Ziffit and WeBuyBooks but I've had no success before with the lesser quality stuff I'd tried:(. Or if they wanted the better ones they were offering a derisory amount. I've decided to give my Amazon inventory a good sort out and was surprised that some of them would be worth a fairly reasonable price elsewhere. It was very time consuming as I needed to work out whether it would be worth my while to take them off Amazon and sell them elsewhere, things like fees, packing materials, trips to the Post Office (about 5 miles away each time I sell one) etc which all detract from the profit made on Amazon had to be taken into account. Some of them were worth a pittance elsewhere so I'm taking my chances on Amazon with them, but If the difference is quite small after expenses and time are accounted for I think I'll send some batches off to Ziffit or WeBuyBooks. At least I know they'll be paid for sooner than maybe waiting for months on Amazon. Money in the hand now is worth more than waiting for more on Amazon that might never happen. Maybe that's not a totally MSE attitude though:o. Certainly something to think about this next few days anyway;)
That's pretty much my thinking, most of the stuff I've been selling (new books) I might have made a couple of quid more selling them on eBay but there's still the *might* aspect whereas with WBB I know I can get rid of all of them at once, it's really easy to just drop them at a local shop (my local Hermes drop off shop is open all hours!) and you don't have the hassle of dealing with eBay buyers wondering if they're going to complain because you wrapped it in a cat food box ( I say you, I mean me :rotfl: )Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

Couldn't agree more:T:beer:
I've never used cat food boxes but you've got me thinking now;). I've always got plenty of them to put out for recycling:T0 -
shellyosborne, sorry to hear the unexpected pay hasn't arrived. I know what it's like when money that you've relied on and needed doesn't turn up when expected. I'm sure you'll get it eventually and life will be much easier then. Do you have a department at your work who can intervene on your behalf? You probably don't want anyone in real life to know you're in financial hardship but I know some companies have contingencies for that sort of thing. Wishing you and your partner the best of luck. You'll get through it though:kisses3:0
