Hi
I am hoping for some help. Long story short last month I lost my job as the company went into administration. I wasn't paid my expected wage in January either a full months wage !
I have signed on to JSA, however I have had a few interviews and I am confident an offer will come from one of these I find out over next two weeks.
However I owe H&M over £350 on the pay next month invoice. I have had an account with them for a year and have always paid then in full on time. Luckily I don't have debt as such apart from this. I have emailed them this morning explaining what's happened and asking if I can pay £40 pm month until I get back to work and I will clear it right away.
However in really worried it says on their terms and conditions they will register a default on my credit file etc. I've checked all 3 credit reports and it does not appear anywhere.
So are the likely to now go on and register this account there now so they can register late payment etc ? I'm really worried over this and I want to pay it ! I just done want my credit do le ruined over this. Anyone any experience with H&M or accounts not registered with CRAs then being listed ?
TIA

Hi,
I don't know who H & M are, some sort of catalogue ?
Defaults are normally registered after 3/6 missed payments.
You will not be defaulted for one missed payment.
Asking them for a payment arrangement is a good step, they may choose to mark your file as OK, or as AP (arrangement to pay).

They are a purveyor of low cost fashion clothing, to the youth of today, often found in shopping malls.0 -
Thankyou
They have not yet responded, so hopefully will soon.
This account is not on my credit file so I'm wondering if they will list it now.0
