Microwave recommendations

I've always had free-standing Panasonic microwaves before (well actually I've only had 2 (with a brief change to a Kenwood which was horrible), as they are very long-lasting.
I will be getting my kitchen done hopefully this summer, and am not sure whether to get a built-in microwave or stay with free-standing.
What are pros/cons, and any suggestions for what brand of built-in microwaves is good?

Had my kitchen done 2 years ago, but kept my panasonic nn-cf778s freestanding for one main reason it cooks whole chickens perfectly and quickly(it sits in the utility room thus not spoiling the lines in the main kitchen, but would not fall out with our siemens oven and grill)4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . I am going to keep an eye out on Freecycle for one of those nn-cf778s !
I do think some of these machines can be a bit OTT in tech that is not used.
I would always have outside so can be upgraded or downgraded as required. Please be nice to all MoneySavers. That’s the forum motto. Remember, the prime aim is to help provide info and resources. If your local library still keeps Which? magazine, the November edition has on p 81 a table of microwave ovens sorted in descending order of desirability. I believe there are more extensive comments early in the magazine.0
