I've just applied for the Nectar Credit Card simply because I want the £25 worth of Nectar points.
I think (and my memory is hazy) that I've done stuff like this quite a few times over the years for me and bf and I just stick the card in a drawer or cut it up once I've got what I want out of it.
Is there an easy way to check exactly how many I have?

I'd get a copy of my file form the 3 credit reference agencies:
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/banking/credit-rating-credit-score
and see what information regarding active credit accounts was being reported to them.0
