Do they not have to mention to the court that they sent NTK and other chase up letters.
is just stating LBC/LBA was sent and not responded to suffcient for Pre action protocol..
this is what was written in the form sent to cour at a set aside hearing.
As the charges still remained outstanding the Claimant instructed our firm to seek recovery of the outstanding balance. A Letter before Claim was sent to the Defendant [address] on 21 June 2016 and as no reply was received, proceedings were issued on 07 July 2016. Proceedings were issued at the same address of in compliance with CPR 6.9. Due to no formal response to the Claim Form being received Judgment was entered against the Defendant. Judgment is regular and should not be set aside”.
this was written by people who deserve gallstones!
2. Can I question the equipment that they use? like who sets the date and time on the pcn machine and camera for recording evidence.

No, they can say what they like to try to contest a set-aside. Who is 'they'? I assume the set aside hearing has not taken place yet? USE IT TO WIN!
Don't question equipment, do a decent defence in readiness like here:

They even got their £255 straight back, claim struck out, no case to answer unless CEL re-pleaded it and started again.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
