Vanquis didn't sell me their PPI and payment plans

Hello, I just received my new vanquis card today and called the number (0800 one) to activate the card, the line is automated and my card is activated after I input my card number and DOB on the phone.
I was quite surprised that they didn't even call me or transfer to their CS to sell me the payment protection plan, etc, while I was trying to activate my card. The only time they asked me is during application call about whether I want to make a cash advance (which I declined immediately)
Did they change this only recently, which should be a good thing? But no, it can't be Vanquis, so I am more worried about the box I might already ticked and the potential calls awaiting for me... worse still, will the charge for PPI just show up on my next statement?

Is any card going to try and foist PPI upon you these days, given what they've had to fork out in the last few years for mis-selling ?0

I generally don't think Vanquis will do good on their own, but when they called to check my details 30 minutes after application, the only thing they asked is about cash advance.0

I do't think a cash advance is a good idea. This is one card you need to use sparingly, and clear the balance ASAP!0 -
What, they didn't try and sell you PPI? Shocking! How will you be able to make a future PPI refund claim if the banks don't sell you PPI in the first place now? Disgraceful behaviour, -I should complain if I were you.0
