Civil Enforcement Ltd County court claim

Hi Everyone,

Im looking for your help please. I have been reading through so many different threads relating to CEL and I'm so confused what angle I need to go with in my defence.
I have received a County Court Claim form stating that CEL are seeking £326.36 (which includes court costs etc.
Basically they have said this is for a overstay at a retail park and parking in a disabled bay (completely not true) This apparently took place 30/04/2016 and I received the 1st letter "final demand before legal action" on the 1st July. I contacted them on the 4th July asking for a POPLA ref, I received a rejection letter and no POPLA ref. I requested this again and again was rejected with no ref saying I was outside of the 28 days from when the PCN was issued. I then ignored everything until is was passed to "Wright Hassall" Solicitors, and I engaged in conversations with them stated no liability etc......
now I have the CCCF and as I do not understand alot of the jargon on here I don't want to submit something that clearly has no relevance in my case.
This is my very first thread so please be kind and apologies if I have not done/said the correct thing.
Your help would be really appreceited

same advice as in all the other CEL COURT CLAIM threads

like this one I answered recently

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5609820

follow the court claim advice in the NEWBIES sticky thread , acknowledge the claim online (no adding anything to the defence box , nothing at all)

then use the foirum search to find similar threads and look at their defences , then start to draft your own and post if here for critique, minus any personal info, so no references etc

check what you draft is true , so adapt anything you find and remove what isnt true, adding any extras of your own

and learn to speak in the "third party" , about what the DRIVER may or may not have done etc , so if necessary edit post #1 and alter anything that hints as to who has done what, keep it ambiguous , solicitors and parking companies read forums like this one, and taking a screenshot is childs play ;)

this is not just advice for you, its for anyone else who reads this in the future, so accept that some replies may also be for future readers and no slight on you

CEL are second easiest (behind MIL Collections) to defend and win/get stayed (stopped). For other newbies to see as well, here is a typical CEL generic defence to use/adapt (NOT his earlier versions, only post #16):

With the usual outcome, no hearing:
Just wanted to thank everyone on the forum & especially everyone that offered advice on this thread as the court confirmed that my case has been stayed.

We have never had one go to a hearing in over a year of advising in CEL defences.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
