Hello
The tax credits people have my husband down for earning estimated at £33k for this year, last year was £30k. . I earned in carers 1400, this year 3400. Could anyone work out the overpayment if my husbands salary was actually £36k by end of tax year and how much we would have to pay back? Thank you.

Impossible to say without knowing how many kids, any disabled etc0 -
Oh sorry...
2 children both recieve high rate dla so we get the disability premium0 -
An additional £3,000 in income would cause an overpayment of approx £1,2300

Many thanks for that also as we pay childcare too...it's our 1st year doing so and we get some towards it...do I send in the last 12 months invoices from nursery on renewal?0

Would they stop the tax credits till paid off?0

You only need to provide proof if they ask for it.
They will take back a percentage until repaid (likely 50% based on your level of income).0 -
Thanks for ur help! That's great0
