Samsung TV Warranty / Replacement?

  • It was John Lewis and I've just spoken to them. They've told me that my 5 year guarantee will continue from the date of purchase of my original TV so I've got about 4 years left which I'm happy to accept.

Yes I reported the problem to John Lewis technical team first and they referred the matter to an outsourced TV repair company who deal with all their warranty work. It was this company who ended up having to contact Samsung when they couldn't source the parts needed to fix the problem. Samsung then approved a replacement after looking at the details of the case.

All of the above would've been helpful at the beginning of the thread!
  • To be honest my initial question was purely about the proof of purchase receipt and how important it was to resolving the issue. I didn't feel it necessary to provide all the other details considering it was an ongoing claim and I was only getting more details as I went along myself.
My apologies if I caused any confusion.
