I have the same issue - I know mine are porbably a little on the loose side (but try finding a 28J!) but they always ride around and leave indentation.

Never found one in 17 years of wearing one, and I will not be travelling the 400 mile trip to london to see someone - that's fine if you live close but most people don't.

    What is a 'useful' bra?

They are all pretty useful to me. They keep my mammary glands trussed up and in place.:rotfl:

I think it depends on what shape you are. Where my bra sits is wider than immediately below, so I am not surprised they are prone to slide down.

I don't think there are many supportive bras that wouldn't leave some sort of mark, especially if you have a lot to support!

They shouldn't however, be uncomfortable to the point of hurting. I was also advised to wear any new bras in for a while until they become more comfortable. I also handwash, warm water, spin gently in a salad spinner and then let dry naturally.

    :)
I just wondered why padded bras or decorative bras weren't 'useful' ... as you point out, they all do the same thing :D
