Yahoo account hacked and locked out

Hi, a friend has had her yahoo acct hacked and inaccessible since Fri. Can't sign in and can't contact legitimate yahoo support.

She googled yahoo support numbers but got scammers who wanted £120 with a 50% chance of success. Obv she said no and they said "ok then, make it £80" lol

Anyone any ideas I can pass on as she is pretty upset about the whole thing and frightened to click on anything purporting to be yahoo now since she got the scammers.

She accesses from an ipad.

I *think* that may be the page she said sends her in a never ending loop, hence she looked for a phone number.Have suggested that she try it from phone and doesn't use ipad until certain it's 100% clean.

As I thought, she has tried that page numerous times yesterday and again today when I sent her the link. Goes around in circles and back to square one.

Anyone else got any ideas pls?
