Igor. I know I said you could experiment with different ways of steaming puddings, in preparation for next Christmas, and I know that doing your pud wrapped up in a cloth is a quaint, old fashioned retro method, but.....did you really have to use THAT to steam your pud in?

Well, you should have seen what he wanted to use.I told him on no uncertain terms that my beloved 18 hour girdle was off limits!!!!!!!

Cheffie,I'm afraid, had to be hospitalised on finding out that his trusty truss had been used in such an unsavoury fashion. He's still under sedation but apparently is expected to make a full recovery. :-)

Okay, the big event that was stressing me out was that I have just turned 50 yo!:eek:
It's the buildup that stresses me out.It was the same when I turned 40.
I've still got family over until Thursday, so will try and update properly then.

We had a lovely day today, ate out at a nice restaurant, then had a walk by the lakeside and had some yummy ice creams. :-)

Happy birthday, marmite! Does it feel any different from being 49 years and 364 days old? No, of course it doesn't. Now tuck into your birthday cake, Igor made it specially, it's got real anchovies in the buttercream.
