I (briefly) had an Erbauer 1/2" router from screwfix a few years ago, fitted in my router table for hobby carpentry use. Lasted about 3 months, got binned and replaced by a Triton 1/2" router. I'll never buy another Erbauer power tool again!
Given a choice between Milwaukee, Dewalt (AKA posh B&Decker!) and Metabo, I'd choose Metabo any day.0 -

Thanks again guys, i ended up going for the the Bosch GSB (blue version) which was recommended by a mate. It's also similar to what my brother has and i liked that tbh. it pretty much covers all bases.
having bought a house recently and planing a big refurb next year it'll come in handy....i hadn't thought of that when i wrote the post

Which model did you go for in the end, and what do you think? I'm also looking and quite like the sound of the model below, but not sure if there is a cheaper option that is just as good quality.
