A friend has asked me to help ....

She has an Acer Aspire V 15 (V3-572-746F)
i7
8GB RAM
1 TB HDD

Quote <<Yesterday I tried to turn it on without charger in and it said critical battery then went black screen. I plugged it in and nothing changed. Charging light was on tho. Pressed power off and it turned off completely. Then power on and makes all the right sounds but just black screen....>>

I've not seen it yet, but will probably go tomorrow ...
Thoughts?

Remove battery (does it have a removable one?) Press and hold power button?

Try to start in safe mode

Check for dust.

Thanks

Press and hold the power button for 60 seconds did the trick. :D

Installed CCleaner, removed load of rubbish.

    One happy 'client' !

    :)
