Medical help in Sharm el Sheikh

We are due to go on holiday to Sharm el Sheikh on 4/10/07.
My DH was knocked off his bike on Monday and has had his knee and ankle stitched up, the hospital say he must have his stitches out on 8/10/07 they say he cannot have them out before we go and he cannot leave them in until we get back so we are wondering whether he can have them taken out whils we are away.
Has enyone been in a similar situation? Has anyone used the hospital or medical centre in Sharm el Sheikh? Can you tell me what the hospital is like?
Does anyone have any contact details for the hospital or the medical service?
We have contacted the holiday compnany and their answer was that it was not something they would be able to organise for us but their rep would be able to help once we get there! I explained that if we don't know whether it can be done we will be cancelling the holiday and they are now contacting their resort office to see if they can find out, but I just wondered if any moneysavers had any previous experiences that might help.
