Best mattress for guest stay

Hi there.

I would appreciate any advise on any recommendation for a good comfortable durable double mattress for a guest stay. It's not going to be used very often, maybe 1-2 times every 3 months for a short family stay.

Something that shows as being on offer in Argos, so you get cheap delivery.

Or from Ikea in their 'bargain corner' , but you'll have to accept it may have been slept on, if its a return, or layed on by dozens of people if its a display one. Plus delivery cost will be more, but price reduction will be higher.

How old is your own one?

if getting on a bit get yourself a decent new one and move yours to guest status.

another option get a cheap one and then be on the lookout for something high end discounted.

Another route is a good quality topper on something reasonable.
