I've read some of the threads about this company - I'm a tad confused as there are so many and several seem to say 'ignore' go to next thread kind of thing.
Is the current advice to ignore them or to contact them?
I've phoned the retailer, in this instance Hollywood Bowl, who told me to phone UKCPS and that they would help me. Not from what I've read on here they won't.
I've no intention of paying, nor visiting the particular place again - ever!

The advice to ignore is old and out of date, and has not been given here since the law changed in 2012.
Please read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES then send the IPC template you will find there. Copy and paste and send. Do not edit, do not reveal who was driving, never, ever 'phone a parking scammer.

nobody on any thread tells you to IGNORE UKCPS
the CORRECT ADVICE for any BPA or as in this case any IPC member IS SIMPLE
APPEAL
which is why there are 2 templates in the NEWBIES sticky thread, one for each , so use the one in black text
its afterwards you may go into IGNORE mode, once they reject your initial appeal
the landholder or business should be able to get these charges cancelled if you press them hard enough
but that is as well as appealing
any time you see the word IGNORE it relates to debt collectors and parking companies like UKCPS once an appeal has been rejected

Thanks for the replies - I've read the Newbie thread...
Now I'm slightly confused. The ticket was from UKCPS Ltd I thought they were a member of the BPA but a line in red says they are banned from getting DVLA info. Does that mean I now do nothing at all? As in I don't appeal or anything else?

UKCPS are not a BPA member, they are IPC, the dark side. They are now getting data again so I'll edit that bit.
The thread gives you an IPC challenge template and tells you to THEN ignore after that (except court papers).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

What does it tell you to do on the NTK? You may have to upload it to their website. Make sure you double check any tick boxes as they will automatically default to driver. You MUST select keeper.
