Travel insurance if family are going to different places!

Hi,

My husband likes ski-ing and I like the sun so we are going on different holidays in the same week (taking one child each :rotfl:) Anyway, question is would family travel insurance cover both trips in the same week or would we need separate travel insurance?

TIA

Check your policy wording to see if it covers you as a group or individually
  • I assume you have a family annual multi-trip policy It may be your policy does not explicitly mention this (stays silent), which probably means it is OK. You should call your insurer to check and note name of who you speak to and the time called (the call will be recorded).

Usually, the requirement around children is defined / specified though and typically requires children to travel with an adult named on the policy.
I am just thinking out loud - nothing I say should be relied upon!
I do however reserve the right to be correct by accident.
