My partner's mom and since deceased dad transferred their house into his name in around 2009. His mom still lives there. Myself and my partner have owned and lived in our own house since 2005. My partner's mom wants to sort out some home emergency cover, such as the type of thing offered by homeserve for boiler and plumbing cover etc. however is she classed as a tenant and My partner as landlord? She of course doesn't pay him any rent, there is no mortgage on the property and a trust deed was signed to say he is owner, she is occupier and she must still maintain, insure the property and pay bills and outgoings. Can she still get this emergency cover ?
Thanks😀

You can usually add home emergency cover onto your buildings insurance. Your partner should see if they can get it added onto the buildings insurance for the property.
