in Credit cards
Hi All, I'm wondering if someone is able to help.
I've just started an application for an Amazon credit card. My application was successful, and I had given all my details etc. I got to the page with all the t&cs, and the Amazon application had a few pdfs which it suggested I print out and read.
I did this, which obviously took a little time - I could print the pdfs within the page, but there was also the option to open the pdfs in a new tab. I clicked this option and noticed that instead of it taking me the the pdf, it took me to the Amazon homepage, which I thought was a little strange, however didn't think anything of it as I was able to read and print the documents within the original page.
However, after I had finished reading all the documents and I was ready to click 'accept', I ticked the box which said customer e-signature. Underneath there was a box which said 'credit provider e-signature' (I think, something like that anyway). When I hovered over this a no entry sign appeared as my cursor and I couldn't click on anything - however I assumed this was fine as it would actually be Amazon (or NewDay, the credit card provider) that would tick this box. However when I then went to click on the Accept button, the same no entry sign came up and it would not let me click on this..
After going through the page several times I then went and clicked on the FAQs to see if it explained there what I was missing, but this again just took me to the main amazon.co.uk home page. After exhausting all other possibilities (including ringing their customer services, which was of course closed at 10pm on a Saturday night), I refreshed the page, hoping it would just take me to the same point in the application. However again this just brought up, you guessed it, the Amazon home page...
So my question is, has my application just gone into the ether, or is there going to be a way for Amazon/NewDay to get this application back? And if there is not, will this still count as an application on my credit score? Presumably it will look very bad if I have to reapply?
I'm really unsure what to do here - I was only applying for a credit card in order to improve my credit score in order for hopefully getting a mortgage soon in the first place!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Firstly the only thing to do is tele them tomorrow, as for your "credit score" it means nothing, no one sees it except you, its just a random number.0

Something similar happened to me last year when applying for a Nationwide card - thought the application had not been submitted, felt a bit miffed and forgot about it.
A few days later a card and Pin appeared!
To be on the safe side contact them for confirmation of the state of your application.0
