What lock for garage

I'm having a new door fitted to the back of the garage.

The front garage has an up-and-over door with a standard lock. I want something a bit sturdier at the back, that I will be able to open from either side of the door.

Is a mortice lock a good idea, or are there more appropriate types of lock I should consider?

Is it a standard personal door you're getting fitted or a garage door?

If a standard personal door look at getting a normal UPVC type with multip point locking, when our garage needed a new personal door it was about the same price for a decent upvc as a wooden door and frame (we updated the euro lock on the door to a better one).

I was thinking of a hardwood door.
