Google "Action Required" notification

I got one of these notifications the other day on my Android phone and it then prompted me to enter my Google password, which I did.

Ever since the Google app has been acting strangely - I don't have any Google now cards anymore and sometimes when I type something into the Google search and hit enter, nothing happens.

My friend says he's had a similar problem - when he types something into google and hits enter - nothing happens.

I think the notification must have been legit - I don't think it was a scam. Just wondered if anyone else has had a similar problem?

I had this and thought it was a bit weird too, but I logged it and it disappeared.

I can't speak for the Google app and Google now as I have disabled them on my phone because they kept being annoying and popping up whenever I plugged in the headphones and opening the google app when I didn't want to do that!

had the same message,

try this.

go to the cards page
then press the 3 bars to get to the side bar
goto Settings
then Accounts & Privileges
Tab google account
you should get the option to sign in (if your not already) or sign out

Try singing out and then back in. see if that fixes things

I've have exactly the same thing and so has the wife. Its too much of a coincidence - maybe its a buggy update or something.

I had this, no information on what it was for, asked for password, entered password, still no information on what for.
