Can I put a mini freezer on top of my washing machine?

We are very short on space and want to get a mini freezer, but the only place we can put it is on top of our washing machine. Does anyone know if this is a problem, especially with spinning?

Well, could you maybe buy a shelf deep enough for the freezer, to be mounted above the washing machine?0

I would not put a cooling device with a standard compressor on top of an item that will vibrate.
Fixed shelf if possible.0 -
Seeing as this is in the House Buying and Selling forum, buy a bigger house.:rotfl:0

The 'Kitchen Appliances (Vibratory Effects) Act 2009 (section 23) prohibits the co-locating of freezers and laundry appliances.0

If you can't or don't want to fit a permanent shelf you can get stacking kits for stacking one appliance on top of another, usually a tumble dryer on top of a washing machine but a freezer shouldn't be a problem

I wouldn't. Creating a shelf for it would make sense.0

yep, terrible idea, freezer would probably oniy last a few weeks, the compressor or the heat exchanger is unlikely to endure that sort of vibration for long. I don't think a stacking kit would do the job it will still transmit the vibrations
Put it on a shelf that won't transmit the vibrations or forget it. Is the washing machine built in or under a worktop that would act as a shelf anyway ?0 -
Freezer wouldn't last a cycle.0
