hi
has anyone had experience of getting a ferry from ajaccio (corsica) to nice.
i want to try this as i wish to fly from nice to leeds uk , rather than trampling all the way back to sardinia italy to catch a flight back to uk leeds.
i have tried some ferry websites but they do not extend timetables for my travel date which is july 08.
any help or words of wisdom appreciated
thanks

This summer we used the ferry service from Livorno to Bastia (cheap flight to Pisa) and it worked very well. We also met people who had used the ferry from Nice-Calvi to get to Corsica.
We booked our tickets using the following site and they e-mailed our tickets:

Although next year's timetable isn't available yet the schedule for this year should give you an idea of what is available.
The ferries are really big, more like mini cruise ships. If it is a busy ferry then outside seats in the shade are at a premium, so it is worth trying to board as early as possible.0 -
thank you. i will give them a look in and check out the prices and times. was the ferry crossing in the morning or night?

We used afternoon ferries as that fitted in with our flight times. I looked at the overnight ferry for the way back but all the cabins were booked, and although there should have been enough time to get to the airport in the morning, there would have been no margin for error.
I hope you have a great holiday, Corsica is a wonderful island.0
