I paid with credit card, not paypal. I'm done with chasing this parcel, and thanks to advice posted here I know what to do next if eBay do not support my claim. Just wanted to keep updating people on this amusingly farcical courier! I now also have proof my neighbour's name does not match the signature if that becomes necessary.

To be honest I am collecting all the evidence I can because I can pass it on to the seller too so they can resolve the claim with the courier themselves, and I will happily help them do that.

I wouldn't necessarily expect the seller to be helpful in this situation, it's generally the default assumption to assume your being scammed. I've been both the seller and buyer in this scenario before so can appreciate how frustrating it is.

To be honest I'm not sure, I just know I paid by credit card and I can't see the transaction in my PayPal account at all, but can see it in my online bank account.

What shows for the transaction on your credit card statement?

Oh! It says PAYPAL *DMA. How strange that I don't see this in my PayPal account. Likely because my credit is not connected to my PayPal account that I know of. How would I dispute through PayPal if I can't see the transaction in my account? Just contact them and explain?

Paypal has been the payment provider, You may be OK to get section 75 protection but im really not sure, But cant see it doing any harm contacting paypal and explaining, they are usually pretty good on the phone

I note than when attempting to book with Parcel2Go it asks you the contents of the parcel. Does anyone know if, like Hermes, this is printed on the shipping label - telling everyone exactly what expensive item you've bought?

I use Hermes a lot and while it asks you what the item is-it doesn't print this on the label. It does ask you for a reference, but I usually use vague letters .
