Terms and Conditions
The prize includes: i) Return flights on Skybus for two people from the UK mainland to the Isles of Scilly, departing from either Exeter, Newquay or Land’s End Airport (islesofscilly-travel.co.uk); ii) Two nights bed and breakfast accommodation at Star Castle Hotel (star-castle.co.uk) iii) wine tasting at HolyVale Vineyard (http://star-castle.co.uk/vine-news/)
Travel to and from the point of departure and airport car parking is not included.
The prize is not to be used in conjunction with any current bookings or discounts.
Excludes travel and accommodation on Bank Holiday weekends and school holidays.
Travel to be taken during the months of April, May, September and October.
Winners will be selected at random.
Employees of MediaClash, Isles of Scilly Steamship Group, Visit Isles of Scilly, Star Castle Hotel, their family members or anyone else connected in any way with the competition shall not be permitted to enter.
No cash alternative to the prizes will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Holiday dates are subject to availability.
The winner is responsible for expenses and arrangements not specifically detailed in the prize including but not limited to any other travel, additional drinks, and other expenses. The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and there is no cash alternative or alternative prize of equal or greater value. Any costs incurred over and above the basic prize are at the personal cost of the winner. Any extra costs incurred are to be settled on departure. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the promoter reserves the right to offer an alternative prize, of equal or greater value, at the promoter’s discretion. The prize is subject to availability and cannot be exchanged. SELECTION OF WINNER: One (1) winner will be chosen at random from all entries no later than 31 March 2017. The winner will be contacted via email. If the winner cannot be contacted after two (2) attempts within three (3) business days of the draw date, we reserve the right to select an alternative winner. All changes to the Terms and Conditions will be posted in revised terms and conditions on the website. We accept no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged, misaddressed, undelivered, postage due or misdirected entries. Personal information collected from entrants will be used for contacting you as per the Isles of Scilly TRavel and Visit Isles of Scilly Privacy Policy. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law and any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts. Bulk entries made from trade, consumer groups or third parties will not be accepted. If it becomes apparent that a participant is using a computer(s) to circumvent this condition by, for example, the use of ‘script’ or ‘brute force’, masking their identity by manipulating IP addresses, using identities other than their own or any other automated means in order to increase that participant’s entries into the draw in a way that is not consistent with the spirit of the promotion, that person’s entries will be disqualified. Winners may have the option to participate in publicity arising from the promotion. The Promoter will not be liable to any participant for any loss or damage, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, even if foreseeable, arising under or/in connection with their entering this promotion or as a result of their accepting any prize as a result of this promotion. Nothing in these terms and conditions excludes or limits the Promoter’s liability for death or personal injury arising from its negligence, or its fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by English law. If an act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these terms and conditions the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligation. By taking part in this promotion all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these terms and conditions. These terms and conditions are governed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction unless the participant is resident in Scotland in which case they may also bring proceedings in Scotland. MediaClash reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition or the rules without notice. All taxes, insurances, transfers, spending money and other expenses (including meals or personal expenses, upgrades, etc) as the case may be, unless specifically stated, are the sole responsibility of the prize winner. In consideration for MediaClash including entries in the competition, each entrant hereby agrees that MediaClash may make any and all entries available on their website. MediaClash does not accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant entering the competition or as a result of accepting any prize. Where a prize is being offered by a third party, MediaClash shall act solely as an intermediary between the prize provider and the winner. It is the responsibility of the prize provider to supply the prize to the winner. The prize can not be transferred to another person. No part of the prize is exchangeable for cash or any other prize. If the winner cannot be contacted within a reasonable time period or are not able or available to accept the prize for any reason which is beyond the promoter's reasonable control, then the promoter reserves the right to award the prize to another entrant.
