    Estate Agents sometimes get things wrong. There is a big difference between a solid wall (ie no cavity but reasonably thick) and a single skin. Single skin generally indicates the wall is as thin as the width of a brick.

    "Single Skin" is a term which was invented to describe a wall one brick thick.

    Hope the above link works. I can only go on what the estate agents told us. I know the owner was able to remortgage twice on the house but he had tenants in the house for 3 years.
    I have done some research and we cancelled our viewing. I was not sure what questions to ask etc.
