PCN at LUL NCP ANPR Controlled Car Park

Hi guys
I regularly park at a London Underground NCP run car park that uses ANPR for control and charging.
There are times when the car park can be deemed to be 'full', but drivers park in 'non official' / 'unmarked' spaces. I've done this too a number of times. On this occasion, however, I've been issued a PCN for £60 (rising to £100 after 14 days)! The reason given is:
"Not parked correctly within the markings of the bay space".
I just wanted to know if there's any point appealing such cases, as the car park is extremely poorly maintained and more than half the spaces have big potholes and no markings anyway?
Any guidance / help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
Rgds.

Please read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES then appeal using the BPA template in blue you will find there. If the car park is covered by byelaws then you add to the appeal that this is non relevant land and therefore the keeper cannot be held liable. Do it carefully so you don't reveal the driver's identity.

  • Thanks Fruitcake. Will do, but, how does one keep the identity of the appellant off a letter of appeal?!

You're not keeping the identity of the appellant off a letter of appeal, you're keeping the identity of the driver off it. The appeal will be from the keeper of the vehicle, not the driver.

All explained in the NEWBIES sticky.
