SD card stuck in the slot on laptop

Acer Aspire E5-571, 15.6" Laptop, Intel Core i5

SD card stuck in card reader slot.

This laptop is a ridiculous design where the SD card sticks half out of the slot (by design!), making it very vulnerable to damage, now the card has got completely rammed into the slot and I can't get it out.

This is not the type of SD card slot where you push it in to spring it out. The user is expected to just pull on the portion of the card that's sticking out.

Any ideas? Happened before?

To remove the sd card, slide in a piece of sellotape half an inch so that the sticky side faces the sd card and press the tape onto the card via a penknife or other thin blade, now pull on the tape the you left dangling outside and the card should come out.

Now buy yourself a usb card reader.

Evenm needle nose would probably not do it. I say use a pair of tweezers!

Bigger the better for grip. It's not as though they have to go into the slot.

sd card magnet , from ebay , will just pull out with it
