  • Uninstall and reinstall Zonealarm.

    Make sure you have your broadband unplugged when you do it.

    You can also download the file, but it would be easiest to try the above first unless you're sure about what you're doing and trust the source of the download.

  • Have you tried to reinstall?

    Then try uninstalling (or that may fix it).

    The plot thickens

    not sure if it makes any differance, but i am runing Kaspersky

    after uninstalling then trying to reinstall

    i got the message that beacuse i had Kaspersky etc

    Zonealarm was incompatable, strange as it worked fine before this little problem

    :confused::confused::confused:
  • Has Zonealarm updated, though? Mine does regularly (I use Pro version, not sure if the free version updates at the same times).

    If you have the full Kaspersky package (inc firewall) then there could be problems there because running two firewalls is asking for trouble, although they usually won't let you these days.

    As an aside, in tech support we used to get a lot of calls from people who'd heard that this, that, and the other firewall or AV was good, so they'd installed the lot, along with every anti-spyware pack they could find (including the ones that ARE spyware).

    But on your topic, if it were me I'd uninstall Kaspersky and see if I could fix Zonealarm on its own. Then decide which one(s) you're going with and stay with it.

    I'm making assumptions, of course, because I don't know exactly what you have installed on your system.
  • There's a program called zfix which you can download here which may help you re-install Zone Alarm:
