  • Hi

I’d start being a bit proactive if time is an issue.

Ask them who is on the deeds now and then try and find them. The solicitor won’t rush as they know it will cost them money. I had to find everyone involved and get them to get in contact with the solicitor.

In the end I had to formally complain to get anything done and I got some compensation in the end via the legal ombudsman. The solicitor still insist they were not to blame grrrr.

Get tough, and start digging! Keep us posted.

I am beginning to wonder if you had the same solicitors its like pulling teeth with them I believe the previous owner was contacted in October by their the solicitor that acted for them according to this solicitor she was going to sign and return the documents never happened.

I am using the same agent I brought the property from they contacted the previous seller by phone not answering calls and emails no reply this solicitor has painfully managed to send a record letter which wasn't signed for.so with all these methods of contacting her its evident she doesn't want to sign.

Emailing the solicitor everyday what are you going to do to rectify this they don's seem to have a clue all I need get is I need to speak with Compliance Officer to decide what to do next it was me who kept promoting them to send the recorder letter.

8 weeks next week will be filing with Ombusman I'm sure buyer is going to pull out it was meant to be a quick sale their mortgage offer will expire in Jan I just find this situation unbelieveable
