Hi I recently changed my car insurance provider I went on a comparison site and got a cheaper quote so I went with them I paid on line as I avoided added charges I then checked my bank and they had took an additional charge on top of the car insurance I called and queried this and they said it was an admin fee  this was never on the quote should I cancel as my insurance with them doesn't start for 2 weeks

Whats the cost to cancel? Is it more than the admin fee because its likely to have an admin fee also.
Complain about the charge if you think its incorrect.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
I assume you've read all of the terms on the quote including the small print and the companies terms of business right?
Good. In that case if there's no mention of the fee, then use those terms of business to seek out their complaints procedure and put a complaint in.
If you didn't read any of it, then it probably mentions it in there and you won't be able to do anything about it as it'll likely cost more to cancel the policy than to just swallow the cost and treat it as a lesson learnt.0 -

Who was the insurer and who was the comparison site?
Assuming you actually bought via the comparison site, and didn't go direct to the insurer after using them, it may be worth complaining to the comparison site. It may be against the agreement the insurers have with the comparison site.0 -
There should be no cancellation charges as cover hasn't commenced yet, but check the T&Cs to be certain.my insurance with them doesn't start for 2 weeks0
