Do I have a leg to stand on?

Hi,
I just had court papers come through today for a parking ticket from my uni which I ignored. The date of the ticket I may have had a temporary car parking permit issued from the uni itself, but it may have been a day or 2 before the date of the ticket.
I have since got round to finding out how to purchase a permanent ticket and have done so.
So my question is, shall I pay in full before court, or try and defend?
Thanks, Liam.

If you are going to persist with this lazy attitude you may as well pay up if they really are court papers, as it needs a modicum of input and research to defend.
If you can find the time can you let the regulars know who the PPC is?0 -
Hi, thanks for the reply. District Enforcement have issued the claim and it is going through Gladstone Solicitors.0

Is this the blinking notorious scam at Staffs Uni? They've sued lecturers and students like it's going out of fashion. The entire regime is awful (a lecturer did win in court and I know others have done too):

Even better is the fact it's Gladstones mishandling the claim! Search the form for Gladstones defence and read a dozen recent threads, you will understand why this is a good thing.
Read the NEWBIES thread 'Small Claim?' heading advice & links, for what to do where and how to fill in the forms; acknowledge the claim FIRST (not defence - that's second).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
