Personally think you will struggle with any of the main stream insurers here and could look at enough of a emergency fund to fly home at a moments notice to keep yourself right or pay the one of the guys below a premium.

Sorry to hear about this.
Try LV, they've picked up cases like this in the past.
You'll need to ask them to refer it up the chain.0 -
So sorry to hear this. Have you tried making enquiries via the cancer charities? Macmillan were able to point me in the direction of a couple of insurers who could help when OH was recovering from cancer a few years ago.No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0

Thanks, all!
Girlfriend had tried a few via MacMillan but no luck as yet.
I'll give those a go, thanks!0 -

Likewise, very sorry to hear.
The list provided already cover the majority if not all the market. Certainly, All Clear have provided cover for terminal illness before. But, each case will be specific.
And apologies if you know this, but here are several things which may help / hinder you getting cover if it is available:-
> the sooner you go usually the better - unless a period of better stability can be achieved in the near future
> where you go affects the risk and costs enormously e.g.:-
- the USA is going to be prohibitive I fear because it has high medical costs and the distance to fly her home if she deteriorated is long
- France on the other hand has much lower medical costs, falls under the EHIC and is "near"and can be accessed with a shorter trip and repatriation via road ambulance may be viable
Hope that helps.I am just thinking out loud - nothing I say should be relied upon!
I do however reserve the right to be correct by accident.0 -
Does that mean she needs travel insurance if she is going to France (fyi via train)?
All Clear - will pass that on to her0 -

All Clear - will pass that on to her
Obviously, your girlfriend's immediate prognosis is the thing to base any decision you may make upon. And that will be what All Clear or the others will ask about and rate their premium from.
But, if you are thinking Disneyland / Paris with the kids - that sounds a good, relatively easy to get to and back from solution. If this is your plan - talk directly to Disneyland as they may well be able to arrange a special "easy Access pass" for you all which will reduce waiting times and so on (Disney have many faults but seem to get this right!)
Good luck.I am just thinking out loud - nothing I say should be relied upon!

I got this from my local Maggie's Centre on Friday. Give them a call as they should be able to give you more info if you need it. Sorry it hasn't copied very well but it was from a word document.

For all of those entries with an 084 or 087 number, the number is likely to be out of date. Following FCA regulations effective 26 October 2015 most insurers have stopped using premium rate 084 and 087 numbers. Most have moved to inclusive 03 numbers or free-to-caller 080 numbers.
Check official websites for new numbers. As a last resort try looking on sayNOto0870.com for cheaper numbers. Calling an 03 or 080 number can be up to 62p per minute cheaper than calling an 084 number or up to 68p per minute cheaper than calling an 087 number.0 -
I am so sorry OP that your family is in this position, but if it helps at all, I have just arranged travel insurance with Just Travel, having several pre-existing conditions, and their cover was comparable with other companies but it was the cheapest. This is for an extended holiday in Australia.0
