Reglazing an internal door

Hi All,
I have an internal door which has 12 panels of rather gross frosted glass (some of which is cracked). Due to the strange width of the door frame I've decided to reglaze the door rather than replace it. I’ve got the battons off one side and all the nails out and the glass should now come out with a little persuasion... so that is going ok. Now I need to decide on what type of glass to get. Does anyone have an idea of thickness I should aim for and also, should I go with laminated or toughened? The glass will be below waist height as well as above.
Cheers

I believe that building regs for internal doors do require all panes to be either laminated or toughened. If what you are removing is neither of these, then you may find that the replacement glass is thicker than what you have removed. You may then need to either deepen the rebate or use thinner beading to hold the new glass in place.0
