Park Watch PCN Coventry Pizza HUT, Disable Bay Ticket

Hi All

I went into our local Pizza hut today with family and come out to a guy standing next to my car and a ticket on windscreen,

I was totally flipped and was like "WHAT YOU DOING" and apparently i was parked on a disable bay..

After looking at the floor it was a disable bay but quite worn and no other signs around like in front of me and i did not see it when i drove into the spot.

In my rage i throw the ticket at him and drove off. AARrrgghhhh

Now i am thinking should i have kept the ticket as i have no way of even chasing them.

What would the advice be from anyone here..

Yes you can, change the http to hxxp like all the other newbies you read the threads from.

But no need right now. As long as this is your car at the DVLA you will get a Notice to Keeper in the post in March. You can then challenge as keeper, not saying who was driving. So appeal to the NTK next month (NOT AS DRIVER), as you chucked the PCN away.

As in 'NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST', the thread at/near the top of the list when you clicked 'New thread'.

The only issue would be if you are not on the V5 (company or lease car) because THEY would get the Notice to Keeper.

I am the owner so all fine there. I have the manager at pizza hut emailing the company on my behalf as it is poorly marked and no signs just a dull not very clear mark on floor and at night it's hard to see when you just pull in to park.

Signs look unlit. Good that the Pizza hut is trying to cancel it.

But as for appeal, read the NEWBIES thread and be ready to appeal as keeper (no driver admitted) using the template in the NEWBIES thread. But for you that will be when the NTK arrives in late March.

I have read the newbie part over and over and most is ok but some I just can not get to sink in.

1: if no ntk comes what happens.
2: if I get my ntk and send email to the ppc with using a template on here. Do I get a popla number from the reply if they refuse to cancel? Or do I have to email again to somewhere else after I get a response from ppc
3: do I send photos or anything on first email to ppc or wait?

A NTK will come about a month or two after a windscreen PCN, because you won't have appealed. So if they then reject the appeal you send as keeper, a BPA member must include a POPLA code in the rejection letter.

No photos needed in the first appeal, save them for POPLA, because the PPC will reject your appeal anyway, whatever you say, unless Pizza Hut has the clout to cancel this first.
