Help: Using CollectPlus to do return. Corner shop apparently and making excuses

So I have to use CollectPlus for a return and paid £3.99 to return the item, printed the labels and attached it. All of this was Amazon suggested.

I took it to my corner shop who takes Collect+ parcels for return and they said they can't take it and that it's "the wrong size" even though Amazon gave me the prize and gave me the label?

This seems like a terrible service where the shops that are supposed to take it won't.

What do I do?

    Phone Amazon and ask them.

Agree with trying another shop. I once sent an item back in its original packaging which was a thick black mail bag. The shop keeper refused to accept it as they said it was in a black sack. Another shop accepted it with no problem.

You may want to contact Collect Plus customer services via their website. I have never used that shop again but did complain to Collect Plus and they said they'd educate the shop-keeper. As they do accept parcels in black sacks, just not the thin cheap ones.

I've had a similar situation where Amazon had sent the wrong item, so was arranging a free return. They gave me a label but the item was too big for collect+. After speaking to Amazon they arranged a DPD pick up from my house.

Max parcel size with collect+ is 60cmx50cmx50cm. The shop gets in trouble if they accept packages over this.
