I went to Barca earlier this year on a stag do and had a top time, but didnt really see much of the city (too much drinking etc - you know the stuff that goes on, on stag do's!).
Anyway i want to take the missus there the last weekend in march as a suprise for a couple of nights! Flying from either manchester or liverpool!

Basically does anyone have any suggestions for hotels, city break deals etc? should i book a deal or seperate flights and hotel etc!

do a search on this site for ideas

book it yourselves using combination of www.skyscanner.net www.travelrepblic.com and www.travelsupermarket.com as getting there from airport is v easy- make sure you fly into bcn or add on 1hr transfer

check when easter is to avoid high prices although the fallas festival is great

try to stay near las ramblas/el bari gotic but it easy to get around

I dont belame you going back again. Its a fabulous city theres no much to see.
I went in May for the 2nd time and booked an appartment with http://www.habitatapartments.com/ Might be worth checking it out as prices are reasonable and i found it cheaper than most hotels.
hotelconnect.co.uk are usually good for hotels.

As deva says i would stay near la ramblas however the metro system is very good and easy so if your little out i dout it would be much of a problem.
We were near sagrada familia and in a taxis from/to la rambla it was only about 10euro.
