Excuse me - another mouse here ..... and I believe the senior mouse :rotfl:
Anyway - my boys have been bugging me about what to do today . I have decided to have a mega baking day and I can see some bread "shapes" being attempted - altough whether they will look like little animals at the end is anyone's guess :rotfl:0 -
Just a thought - you're clearly an unusually talented baker (I just love the thought of a crocodile loaf eating a gingerbread man) - would it be possible for your skill to earn you some money?
Cooking commercially I know involves tedious paperwork, but could you perhaps bake for children's parties locally?
That was MY thought too or get PAID to teach others how to do it.
Local colleges often do taster days -maybe they'd welcome someone who could teach people how to make the bread rolls......or better still how about not baking for but been the birthday party-people are always looking for "different" ideas. How about a roll making party or similar-messy fun and something to take home. Of course you'd have to charge an economic rate to make it worthwhile but as it's likely to appeal to Mums with big kitchens cost isn't likely to be the biggest factor to them ! Once word gets around you could make a nice income out of this especially as it's fairly easy to vary what they make ! When my son was small all the wealthier mums used to try and find something different and creative with a wow factor to out do each other-don't suppose much has changedCost of ingredients-supply aprons plus hourly rate for your time-say £12-15 ph plus travelling expenses and it'd still be a good value party (have you seen what bowling or laserquest parties cost? Outragous but they are always booked up)
I wish I had a talent like this-I'd be raking it in !I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Some pics for you:

They tasted yummy, though as my 3yo tester pointed out, you have to be careful with the hedgehog, and the spines prickle your mouth :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Right, 3 year old tester asking for more...:D (prickles or no prickles!)
I have NEVER tasted bread this good. And apparently neither has he. He saved one to take for daddy so he could taste how good they are inside - but bit the ears off. :rotfl:
I've been having a very busy time this week so if someone could pm me the link to the thread that this should be merged with I'd be happy to help when I have a minute. (Especially if the recipe for the mice/hedgehogs is in it...:D )
Doh, it's been done already hasn't it. That'll teach me to pay attention.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -
Thought you all might like to know , I spent the day at tadpoles school on Friday making the hedgehogs and mice, and a great day was had by all! Also made a Croc Bread before hand which was auctioned off ~ and it went for £45!!!! Can you believe that? It was fab as the money raised goes to Children With Lucaemia (don't think I spelt that properly!). If it hadn't been for all the posts on here I probably wouldn't have done it , so thanks friends xx:ASay it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D
