Teletext Holidays complaint

Hi, can someone help me in where I should go to complain about Teletext Holidays? Basically they have mis-sold me a hotel in a devious way. I have tried contacting them several times, promises to call me back after they have looked into it after 48 hrs and they never call back. Iv'e tried emailing them with the complaint and all I get back is "sorry but you have confirmed the booking and nothing we can do, other than rebook you to a different hotel" at a ridiculous extra cost, which is as much as the cost for another holiday! Iv'e even offered to pay extra to cover admin fees to change it to the hotel I originally wanted but no joy. I feel scammed! iv'e tried ABTA to report them but there is no record of them being a member which is now worrying me! Can anyone point me in the right direction as I can't settle until this is dealt with? Thank you

If you can prove that you were missold a hotel perhaps your card provider can help out. If it was done over the phone that might be difficult though. There are many complaints about Teletext out there so I'm not surprised you're not getting anywhere with them.0

Have a look around this forum.
You are not on your own.
There are numerous complaints.0 -
If you paid with a credit card perhaps consider a s75 claim.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

Yes with Teletext it does seem as though you are on your own. They are members of TTA but others in this forum have reported that they do nothing at all to assist. Teletext seem to have a warning system of complaints on line so that a 'representative' will pop up shortly and ask you to contact them, how useful that actually is is debatable.
Contact your card issuer, if they accept your claim of misrepresentation they will contact the bank that processed the card on behalf of Teletext who in turn will give them 14 days to explain the situation. If they don't the money is yours, if they do, the arguing begins. Although some people must be happy with Teletext for them to stay in business, those who post here are universal in their contempt for them.0 -
Teletext only advertise the holidays. They don't fulfill them. That is down to Truly Travel  who are members of the TTA. Teletext are just one of their trading names.0

They do seem to be known for pulling in people who see a very cheap price and then when an enquiry is made they "upsell" to them.0

Hi Kevin,
We are really sorry to read your review. Can we have your TT booking reference number so we can look into this for you and contact you directly?
Kind Regards
