Soft Searches

Hi Guys,

On Credit Expert, Equifax and Noddle - I can see different breakdowns for searches.

Am I right in thinking that no lender can see any sort of soft search at all ?

So insurance, identity check, credit query ?

Or can they see the number of them or something like that.

Just wondering how it actually works.

Soft searches don't affect your credit file in anyway I don't think.

Nope, they cannot see them, you could do 1000's, it wouldn't matter - only you, the lender who did the soft search & the CRA can view the footprint.

That's the theory.

There is a type of soft search I haven't seen before appearing especially on Call Credit / Noddle, "Administrative Review". To me that title is pretty much meaningless.
